Benefits and Requirements

At the event, you will receive FREE:

  1. Presentation on the benefits of becoming a U.S. Citizen, the requirements, and how to apply
  2. Initial legal citizenship consultation, if needed, by an Immigration Attorney or DOJ Accredited Representative
  3. Information about eligibility requirements for the full or reduced fee waiver request of the naturalization application fee
  4. List of Civics Questions and Answers
  5. Information on Citizenship Classes in South County
  6. Subsequent appointment, if eligible and ready to file, for a LATER DATE for the following FREE services:
  7. a. Application Assistance
    b. Assistance with Full or Partial Fee Waiver Request, if eligible

What you need to do:

  1. Bring your Lawful Permanent Resident Card
  2. Bring your confirmation number if you pre-registered
  3. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early! If you arrive late, we may not be able to assist you
  4. We also recommend that you bring any Court Records for all arrests, detentions, and convictions If you don’t have the records, we will tell you how to obtain them at the event. If needed, we will provide you with one free legal follow-up consultation at a later date if you return with required documents within two months
  5. We recommend that you bring your most recent tax return, if available, to assess whether you qualify for the Reduced or Partial Fee waiver request
